DESCRIPTION:studjurban\, a local architectural and urban design firm is excited to launch a design talk series\, Architecture Alive\, on Saturday October 6th 2018 at the Maritime Museum\, Birgu. Architecture Alive is a series of stimulating design talks by world-renowned architects that will be hosted every two to three months in Malta. Studjurban is hosting the project together with the Planning Authority and with the support of the Kamra tal-Periti and Marsovin. The design talks will be launched on Saturday 6th October at the Maritime Museum’s St Angelo Hall at 7pm by Austrian architect Peter Lorenz\, the founder and managing director of LORENZATELIERS.  \nPeter Lorenz is one of Austria’s foremost architects and is well known for his humanistic approach to the architectural profession. His office has won numerous international competitions and it has been awarded on several occasions for its outstanding projects\, ranging from bespoke products to architectural masterpieces and masterplanning. Peter Lorenz also guest lectures in a number of universities worldwide.  \nThe main objective of the Architecture Alive events is to keep the practice of architecture alive and flourishing through a regular exposure to great worldwide architecture and urban design. By providing insights on contemporary architectural matters and establishing a platform for further discussion\, the series intends to foster learning opportunities\, inspire audiences and provoke conversations. Invited architects will highlight their main achievements to date\, discuss design challenges and share personal narratives\, using their key projects as a visual basis. \nThe first Architecture Alive design talk shall be held in St Angelo Hall at the Maritime Museum\, Birgu\, on Saturday 6th October 2018. Doors open at 6.30pm and Peter Lorenz’s talk will start at 7pm. This will be followed by questions and drinks provided by Elia Caterers and Marsovin.
