DESCRIPTION:The National Council of Italian Engineers is honoured to organise the World Engineering Forum\, due to take place from 27th of November to 2nd of December\, 2017\, at the Congress Center “La Nuvola”\, in Rome (WEF2017 –  www.wefrome2017.com). \nThe main topic of the Forum will be: “Safeguarding Humankind’s Heritage”. \nEngineering’s commitment is to help material wealth within a sustainable development perspective. SUMMARY:Analysis of the Property & Construction Industry
DESCRIPTION:The present and future situation of the property and construction industry will be analysed in detail during an upcoming conference being organised by the Property Malta Foundation. During this intensive half day event\, the recent Property and Construction Industry Study commissioned by the Malta Developers Association from KPMG will be published and discussed. \n“We commissioned this study to determine the true factual realities of our industry and dispel some common misconceptions and assumptions we often hear banded about without any factual basis.” explained Mr. Sandro Chetcuti\, President of the Malta Developers Association and Chairman of Property Malta. The findings of the study will be explained in detail by Mr. Mark Bamber from KPMG\, whilst Mr. Brian Micallef\, Head of Research of the Central Bank of Malta will be analysing the property market\, affordability and alignment with the real Maltese economy. Panel discussions on demand and supply\, housing affordability\, vacant properties\, how the industry interlinks with the banking sector and other related issues will follow. \nThe Conference\, which is being held on Thursday 30th November at the Grand Hotel Excelsior in Valletta is also being addressed by the Minister for Transport\, Infrastructure and Capital Projects\, Hon. Dr. Ian Borg and Parliamentary Secretary for Planning and Property Market\, Hon. Chris Agius. The Minister for Finance Hon. Prof. Edward Scicluna\, will be delivering his keynote speech in closing the Conference. \nAttendance is open to the general public. Fee is 70 euro per person\, 50 euro for paid members of the Kamra tal-Periti\, or 35 euro for students\, and is inclusive of a hard copy of the research publication\, coffee breaks and lunch. The conference will be held in Maltese and all those attending will receive a copy of the full report.
