The LifeMedGreenRoof project will be coming to an end in July 2017. The project has been successful in establishing a baseline study on green roofs in a local context. It has been found that green roofs can be successfully cultivated promoting ecosystem services and wildlife habitats as well as quantifying the potential of green roofs in improving both the energy performance of buildings and reducing flooding I urban areas.
As a consequence, the LifeMedGreenRoof project will be organising a one-day event as the end-of-project seminar.
During this event, the findings of this 4-year project will be disseminated.
This event is aimed at providing the public, policy makers, design professions and other stakeholders with an outline of the project’s findings, highlighting current topics of green roofs and the adoption of green infrastructure.
As part of the seminar, a visit to the demonstration green roof is envisaged. (It is recommended that no high heels be worn during this visit).
