The discourse of Maltese heritage has long centred on stone structures and traditional construction techniques, typically associated with pre-war architecture. However, the realm of ‘heritage’ today consists of more than vernacular or traditional architecture and includes a significant number of Maltese Modernism - albeit little recognition or protection.
