Policy Officers

The Kamra tal-Periti is seeking to recruit highly motivated and skilled individuals to join our team as Policy Officers. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of policies that shape the built environment and related sectors in Malta.

Position: Policy Officer (Full-Time)

Requirements:

1. Educational Qualifications:
   A recognised degree in any of the following fields:
   – Architecture
   – Civil Engineering
   – Public Policy
   – European Studies
   – Environmental Policy
   – Economics
2. Experience:
   Minimum of five (5) years of experience in:
   – Policy development,
   – Research, or
   – Practising in their respective field of expertise.
3. Skills:
   – Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
   – Strong knowledge of Maltese is preferable but not essential.
   – Ability to analyse complex issues and propose evidence-based solutions.
   – Strong organisational and teamwork skills.

 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and analysis on policy issues related to the built environment, sustainability, and related sectors.
• Draft policy documents, position papers, and reports.
• Engage with stakeholders, including government entities, industry professionals, and international organisations.
• Monitor and analyse local and EU policies relevant to the Kamra’s objectives.
• Support the Kamra in advocating for evidence-based policies.
• Coordinate on EU funded projects between our technical experts and external EU funding consultants.
