About the role

The Kamra tal-Periti is looking for a motivated, experienced Professional Affairs Officer to join our small collaborative team. You will help uphold best practises in Malta’s built environment and support investigations into alleged misconducts. The role requires flexibility, initiative and comfort working from the office as well as on events and projects.

Position

Full-Time Professional Affairs Officer

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and present cases of alleged misconduct to the Board of Professional Conduct.
  • Engage and liaise with technical experts, industry professionals, international organisations and stakeholders as necessary.
  • Administer and process complains, open cases of misconduct, and the resolved measures and actions.
  • Support the Kamra in advocating for evidence-based policies.

 

Requirements

  1. Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering and Architecture, Masters in Architecture, Masters in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • A Perit Warrant shall be considered as a strong asset.
  1. Experience
  • Minimum five years as a practicing architect, civil engineer or similar.
  • Experience within organisations and/or public entities, in executive roles, or legal matters shall be considered as an asset.
  1. Skills
  • Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English; Maltese is an advantage.
  • Strong time management, organisational abilities and the ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to analyse complex issues and propose evidence-based solutions.
  • Discretion and integrity in professionally handling confidential information.
  • A proactive mindset, solution-oriented and strong attention to detail.
  • Adaptable and eager to grow.
